In recent seasons, baritone Alexander Birch Elliott has been heard as Enrico in Simon Stone’s production of Lucia di Lammermoor with Los Angeles Opera, Leandro in Sergei Prokofiev's The Love for Three Oranges with Des Moines Metro Opera, Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Arizona Opera and Des Moines Metro Opera, Captain Von Trapp (The Sound of Music) with Houston Grand Opera, and Papgeno in The Magic Flute with The Metropolitan Opera. This season, he returns to the roles of Figaro, Papageno, and Escamillo with companies including Florida Grand Opera, Grand Teton Music Festival, and The Metropolitan Opera.
