Alexander Birch Elliott returns to The Metropolitan Opera in the 2026/2027 season, reprising his Schaunard in La bohème after the 2025/2026 season, when he also performed Fléville in Andrea Chenier. Also last season, he debuted the role of Sharpless in Madama Butterfly with Arizona Opera, returned to Opera Omaha as Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and made his debut with Utah Opera as Belcore in L’elisir d’amore. During the summer, he returned to Des Moines Metro Opera as the titular Król Roger in Szymonowski’s rarely-performed masterpiece. Other 2026/2027 season engagements include Conte Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro) with Lyric Opera of Kansas City and concert engagements with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and the Andrea Bocelli World Tour.
